I will be honest. The original idea was pretty selfish. I felt lost and alone when I moved here 9 years ago. I had left behind an amazing work and friendship network in Berlin. I came to a resort town that shut down after September. I looked longingly at Manhattan, had two kids and no connections.
Over the years I met a lot of other moms, and once the pandemic was over I realized that things had changed around here - for the better! The Hamptons had become a year-round home for a lot of families. Women continued to work remotely or changed careers entirely.Ā I got the sense that everyone felt like this could be home forever, but was there enough to do? I maintained a semblance of my old life - continued media consulting, learned to cook at home more, that sort of thingā€¦but there was still something missing: my group, my community, my people.Ā
Fast forward to the spring of 2023, I officially became a real estate agent, partnering with my husband who has been doing this forever. As the world was opening back up, I was also meeting cool moms everywhere - real moms with real jobs who really lived here full time like I did! (My people!)Ā So, as I bring together a story to present on TV, here we are: Iā€™ve brought you my story so that you can understand a bit more about the intention behind this group and all my reasons for starting it! I am your people, you are my people, and we are going to make amazing things happen in the Hamptons!
